A Romantic Waterfront Wedding at Long Island Yacht Club in Babylon, New York
Getting married by water was important to Hilary Elmaleh (29 and a pharmaceutical sales professional) and Marc Elmaleh (42 and an IT engineer), who searched all over the East Coast for their wedding venue. When they visited Long Island Yacht Club in Babylon, New York, they knew they’d finally found the right place. They had spent many afternoons watching the sunset here, and the intimate waterfront location was everything they had envisioned. The spring season inspired everything, from the soft, romantic colors to selections of freshly blooming flowers provided by Black Dahlia. They even had succulent wedding favors, so guests could watch the couple's love grow. Hilary and Marc filled their wedding with personal touches, including readings from their favorite movies and books, Hilary’s mom’s homemade Italian biscotti and Marc’s mom’s favorite champagne. As proud foodies, their thoughtful choices of 14 passed hors d’oeuvres, including chateaubriand and sea bass, represented the things they enjoy. And their dulce de leche wedding cake came from Hilary’s favorite bakery in New York City, Momofuku Milk Bar. Hilary and Marc’s favorite detail? Coffee is something they love to share together, so to complete their cordial display, they had an old-fashioned ornate copper espresso machine.
