A Romantic Vintage Wedding at the Weatherwood Homestead in Columbia Falls, Montana

A match made on eHarmony.com, Rya Verigin (28, a yoga instructor) and Josh Ramsay (34, an assistant professor of veterinary pathology at Washington State University) saw each other through their dating profiles. After four months of talking on the phone, texting and sending emails, they finally had their first date in Canada. “I had actually found Rya's ring 2 months after we met and a full year before our engagement,” says Josh. He proposed one year later during Christmas at Rya’s family’s home. The next eighteen months were spent planning the couple’s romantic vintage wedding accented in mint, blush and neutral tones. “My inspiration started with knowing that I wanted a lace wedding gown. I knew that I wanted to use teacups that belonged to my grandmothers and great-grandmothers as part of the centrepieces on the tables,” says Rya. “I had a vision of them filled with flowers.” Two large vintage wooden basins filled with white flowers, including gerbera daisies, were set at the beginning of Rya and Josh’s ceremony aisle. White flower petals led their way past rustic wooden benches to the couple’s simple wooden ceremony arch. Guests were met with a polaroid guest book station surrounded by lace curtains, a refreshment table and vintage Louis Vuitton suitcases open for cards and gifts as they entered the space. “A sweet English flower garden separated the ceremony site from the area where we had lawn games set up for our guests and then the main front lawn where we set up all the tables for the reception,” says Rya. Both rustic and vintage accents flowed into the couple’s reception space as exposed wood family-style tables were set with lace runners and glass chargers. The bride’s flower filled heirloom teacups served as centerpieces. The reception flowed from one portion of the barn to the next as guests enjoyed a seated meal, live music and various desserts.
