A Romantic Vintage Wedding at the Union Hill Inn in Sonora, California
Raeanne Barrett (28 and a special education teacher) met Rick Piccirilli (26 and a regional sales manager for Craft Brewery) met while bonding over what would become their shared love, craft beer, at a birthday party for Raeanne's cousin. After being introduced as his fiancee before having been proposed to, Raeanne grew suspicious of what was to come. The next day while they were enjoying an evening of just the two of them, Rick ran into the house and when he came back out he pulled out the ring and proposed. Rick and Raeanne wanted to have their wedding somewhere they could have their close friends and family stay near them for the entire weekend. They knew they'd found the perfect site when they came across the historic Union Hill Inn with its beautifully redesigned barn chapel and enough space for guests to stay. Raeanne wanted to decorate the venue in a way that would bring a touch of romance to the rustic design. The venue was draped in a delicate color palette of pale pink and ivory with accents of silver and gold. For dinner, Raeanne and Rick catered a delicious variety of barbecue with smoked meats and home cooked sides. To showcase their special talents, the bride and groom served their own homemade beer and wine including four kinds of craft beer on tap and Raeanne's favorite wine, a petite syrah. Tables were named after some of the bride and grooms favorite craft beers and at the end of the night guests were able to bring home bottles of the homemade drinks.
