A Romantic Vintage Wedding at 108 Budleigh in Manteo, North Carolina

Elizabeth Gamiel (29 and works in elementary education) and Bailey Daniels’ (28 and a commercial fisherman) entire wedding was inspired by Elizabeth’s Stella York ball gown. "It's a stunning shade of champagne pink, but looks different shades in different light," Elizabeth says. "The top is lace, which was a must-have, and the bottom is tulle. My look was totally centered on the dress. I didn't make any major decisions until I picked it out.” Kristi Midgette Photography beautifully captured all the details of the day, which started at Mount Olivet Methodist Church in Manteo, North Carolina. “It's a beautiful white church with countless stained-glass windows,” Elizabeth says. “When I was a child, my friend and I would pull the rope outside the sanctuary to ring the loud church bell on Sunday. I always imagined marrying the man of my dreams and ringing the church bell together to let everyone hear there was cause for celebration. So that's what we did.” But that was just the start of the magical day, and Elizabeth and Bailey exited the church to find a white horse-drawn carriage waiting for them, which was secretly arranged by Elizabeth’s stepfather. The reception continued the magic at 108 Budleigh, a historic home with a more intimate feel. A tip from the bride: “My dad told us the whole time to remember this was all about us and our love for each other,” she says. “It was helpful to have that in mind during he entire planning process. Don't sweat the small stuff, and enjoy the ride.”
