A Romantic Vintage-Inspired Wedding at the Vintage House in Yountville, California

Jeanne Spaich (33 and the owner of California Packing Company) married Beau Baker (34 and a fiscal analyst) in a sultry, romantic wedding at the Vintage House in Yountville, California. After an outdoor ceremony under a two-piece hanging wedding arch, the newlyweds and their 85 guests walked a few steps to the reception, which took place (in part) inside the venue’s barrel room. Part of the Vintage House's appeal to Jeanne and Beau was its ability to host a ceremony and reception on-site in different atmospheres. Guests sipped on grilled-peach-infused old-fashioneds and listened to live jazz before sitting down at long tables topped with crisp white linens, dramatic black flatware, dark silver plates and moody crimson and purple flower arrangements. “We went with lighter flowers for the ceremony, slightly darker ones for the dinner and lots of dark purples that almost looked black for the reception,” Jeanne says. Guests were served a plated dinner and later sent home with coffee packaged in vintage-style bags. Jeanne advises other brides to make a point to to absorb the day as best as they can: “Enjoy every moment together. It goes by fast, so make sure you take it all in.” —Carolyn Meers
