During their first year of dating, Nina Rushing and Nick Sacks went on a vacation to Cabo, Mexico, and visited Flora Farms—and Nina immediately knew she wanted to get married there. The couple decided on a neutral color palette with lots of organic materials and textures, as well as copper accents and pops of pink, red and deep blue inspired by the colors of bougainvillea and Talavera ceramics. "I wanted to be able to look back at my wedding album in 10 years and not feel like the style looked outdated or passé," Nina says. "I wanted the wedding to still be classically beautiful and timeless." Guests were introduced to the big day with an invitation suite featuring a Mexican floral letterpress pattern and vintage desert- and floral-patterned stamps. The ceremony took place in a mango grove overlooking a field of sunflowers and mountains. Nina and Nick stood beneath a lush arch of bougainvillea and roses. "Following the ceremony, a 10-man mariachi group lead the way to cocktail hour where the party kicked off," Nina says. "Guests enjoyed the beautiful grounds at magic hour and sipped signature craft cocktails mixed with ingredients grown right there in the adjacent fields." For the reception, guests gathered on the lawn under a magnificent canopy of twinkling lights. Long wood farm tables were adorned with taper candles and loose, romantic floral arrangements in copper and clay vases. "The tablescape featured unglazed terra-cotta chargers, ivory linen napkins with crocheted trim and luxe ivory menus with hand-torn edges that doubled as place cards," Nina says. "Copper flatware and blue crystal stemware added the final touches of color and texture." Guests dined alfresco on chicken, heirloom vegetables and the fresh catch of the day—and then spent the night dancing in a brick barn. Nina wore a sheer wedding dress with floral appliqués and a statement train. "My veil was one of my 'something borrowed' items, since it was a dramatic cathedral veil that had been worn by many of my best friends at their own nuptials," she says. "On my wrist I wore the pearls my father gifted my mother the day I was born." Nick went with a classic navy-blue suit and crisp white shirt with no tie.
