Memorie Bailey (23 and a communications coordinator) met Mark English (23 and a law student) at the University of Alabama and the pair instantly connected over their love of football and tailgating with family. "To us, football wasn't just a game and the University of Alabama wasn't just a school—it was a way of life that brought our two families together," says Memorie. "In fact, for 20 years Mark and his family tailgated in the same spot on Alabama's campus—Mark asked me to be his girlfriend at the tailgate so naturally, he thought it was the perfect place to propose!" For their romantic summer celebration, Memorie and Mark planned a timeless garden affair at an antebellum home on Oak Island in Wilsonville, Alabama. "From the moment my mom and I drove through the winding driveway with white fences and show horses on each side, I knew it was the perfect place," says Memorie. The garden ceremony took place just outside the beautiful house by a stone fountain with a lake view followed by a poolside outdoor reception. A blush and aqua color palette along with pink rose bouquets lent a romantic air to the formal soiree. Each table was decorated with an arrangement of antique aqua glass bottles on moss placemats."Ever since I was three years old, my dad and my brothers always gave me roses after my dance performance," says Memorie. "My mom also collects aqua glass bottles as decorations throughout our house and when I moved away?from home, I found myself following in her footsteps. It seemed like a natural fit to incorporate glass bottles in different shades of aqua and green throughout the d?cor."

Memorie had eight honorary bridesmaid dresses in short aqua dresses in addition to her bridesmaids in blush strapless gowns.
"My dress was a head-to-toe Spanish lace mermaid fit with a sweetheart neckline and rhinestone belt," says Memorie. "It was the opposite of what I originally set out for but when I tried it on, I could just feel that it was the one!"

"Ever since I was three years old, my dad and my brothers always gave me roses after my dance performance," says Memorie. "For my all of my flowers, I picked white and light pink roses, which were used throughout the ceremony and reception."
"As I made my way down the brick aisle, all I could focus on was Mark at the end and he was crying!" says Memorie. "Knowing my husband's tough personality, I cannot describer how it felt to see him so overwhelmed with emotion."
