A Romantic Spanish-Style Wedding at Rancho Las Lomas in Silverado, California

Marina Gonzalez and Jose Juarez turned their vibrant California wedding into an international affair with the help of the right venue and décor. "Rancho Las Lomas has beautiful architecture, with hand-painted tiles and murals from Portugal and endless gardens,” Marina says. The pair added plenty of bright florals to up the romance of the rustic locale, incorporated Spanish and Catholic traditions—including a lasso ceremony and a kneeling bench—into the day's events and crafted romantic décor in bright blush, pink and blue tones. "I wanted all of our flowers to pop with color and just really awe everyone,” Marina says. Guests showered the newlyweds in deep pink petals before stepping over to the cocktail area, where they sipped drinks and listened to a mariachi band. “We agreed that you never really remember wedding food, so we went above and beyond so that guests would remember ours,” Marina says. In that spirit, the couple offered guests braised ribs, Chilean sea bass and a berry-flavored cake. For dessert, the couple cut into a tiered naked cake covered in eye-catching pink, orange and blush blossoms. To end the night, Marina and Jose dance to Sade’s “By Your Side” on a custom monogrammed floor.
