A Romantic Southern Wedding at Historic Rosemont Manor in Berryville, Virginia
Wanting a rustic and romantic wedding, Priscilla Ku (27 and a doctor) and Garrett Cavanaugh (29 and a doctor) chose Historic Rosemont Manor in Berryville, Virginia, as their venue. The manor is in the style of a traditional plantation house with large columns and a beautiful portico, so it fit their theme perfectly. Priscilla and Garrett were married on the lawn in front of the house, and the reception took place in a nearby stable. For their Southern wedding, Priscilla and Garrett chose a palette of robin's egg blue and coral. The wedding party look carried the palette, with the groomsmen wearing blue bow ties with their charcoal tuxedos and the bridesmaids in pretty robin's egg blue bridesmaid dresses with coral rose and hypericum bouquets. Similar flower arrangements lined the ceremony aisle in blue mason jars. At the end of the aisle stood a white pergola covered in garlands and coral flower arrangements to mark the altar area. The reception featured low coral rose centerpieces alternating with tall vases filled with branches to add height to the space. Also adding dimension to the reception were the paper lanterns that hung above the dance floor as a whimsical touch. Our favorite detail? Priscilla's stunning mermaid-style wedding dress! The strapless gown featured beading throughout the bodice and a voluminous ruffled skirt. SYPhotography beautifully captured the day, below.
