A Romantic, Southern Miss-Themed Wedding at the South Warehouse in Jackson, Mississippi
Romance and a love of Southern Mississippi were the themes at Lane Hebert (23 and an intensive care nurse) and Cody Bielstein’s (26 and a University of Southern Mississippi assistant director of athletics development) wedding in Jackson, Mississippi. Their romance dates to their college years at Southern Miss, a part of their love story they wanted to showcase at their celebration. “We knew that in 50 years, our wedding would still be lovely and timeless,” Lane says. After a touching church ceremony, lead by Lane's childhood minister, she and Cody hopped a party bus with their bridal party and headed to the South, a warehouse that features brick walls and a cool urban vibe. Inside, the 500 guests found candlelight flickering from tall candelabras, chandeliers and floor lights creating a romantic, dramatic mood as it illuminated the space’s rustic walls. Just off the dance floor, the couple set up shop: a tailgate celebrating their alma mater. Inside a Southern Miss tent was an actual truck bed that served as the groom’s table. It showcased a collegiate cake, popular frat games, beers with the couple’s logo and fanfare showing their school spirit. The couple were even ushered out by friends and family in a spirit tunnel for their grand exit. —Ginger Harris
