A Romantic Seaside Wedding at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences in New Jersey
Mollie Kazan (32 and a nonprofit director of development) and Andrew Kutscher (34 and an attorney) made fun a priority at their late-summer beach bash. “We wanted it to represent us and also show people how beautiful Long Beach Island is and how much we enjoy spending time there,” Mollie says. In keeping with the laid-back vibe, the couple’s goldendoodle, Fozzie, acted as their ring bearer and even walked Andrew down the aisle. The bride wore a breezy boho gown, despite it going against everything on her original wish list. “I didn’t want lace, sequins or beading,” she says. “But when I tried this dress on, it was love at first sight, and it has it all!” Andew topped off his classic suit with a whimsical tie printed with windsurfing bears, “in honor of the venue and our little bear, Fozzie,” Mollie says. Mollie used “LBI sunsets” as the inspiration for her florals and color palette and the chuppah featured a stunning lace covering to mimic Mollie’s gown. “The benefit of getting married in your 30s is you’ve been to many weddings, and the worst thing is being hungry,” Mollie says. As the pièce de résistance, guests noshed on a four-tier Momofuku Milk Bar cake, featuring salted pretzel and chocolate chip passionfruit. The couple also treated their guests to an ice cream cart during the reception.
