A Romantic, Rustic-Inspired Wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California

Brooke Kim (26 and a masters student in speech-language pathology) had been dating Andrew Lee (26 and in finance) for nine years when he proposed at sunset on the cliffs overlooking the beaches of Maui, Hawaii. They were on vacation, but Andrew worked hard to make the moment right with a hired photographer to capture the moment. Before getting engaged, Brooke knew she wanted to get married in the Cottage Pavilion area of Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California. She fell in love with the lush landscape that created a romantic ambience for an outdoor ceremony, and the tented area decorated with draped linens, twinkling lights and hanging chandeliers for a rustic-inspired reception. The color palette of light pink, gold, gray and cream decorated many elements of the day, from the pink and ivory bouquets filled with roses and peonies to mason jar favors accented with gold hearts and the three-tier cream wedding cake. A dessert spread of miniature sweets and a fully stocked candy bar was served after dinner, where guests filled up their mason jars and took them home to enjoy later on (or eat there and get more!). Immediately following their first dance, the couple showed off their fun side by surprising friends and family with a choreographed routine that had everyone cheering for more.
