A Romantic Rose-Themed Wedding at the Old Bag Factory in Goshen, Indiana

Sarah (30 and a portrait photographer) and Tyler (27 and in sales) met while working at Scotty’s Brewhouse in West Lafayette, but they didn’t start dating until about a year later. According to Sarah, when it came to the proposal, she says, “Tyler is not the ‘grand romantic gesture’ type.” He proposed not once but several times spontaneously; each time, Sarah accepted but didn’t want to deal with the wedding planning. She didn’t even want an engagement ring. Knowing this, Tyler fashioned a makeshift engagement ring out of a blue twist-tie for his first proposal, but despite acknowledging their love and commitment to one another, they weren’t officially engaged until four years later! Their proposal story is certainly unconventional, but Sarah assures, “It’s very much who we are.” Sarah originally wanted an outdoor wedding but didn’t want to chance it on the weather, so they instead got married at Bread and Chocolate, an event space at the Old Bag Factory in Goshen, Indiana, where they through a bright, punch-colored wedding strewn with roses.
