A Romantic, Rainy Woods Wedding at Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs, Texas
Abby (27 and a registered nurse) and Eric (30 and in sales) met at a church group in college, but didn't start dating until four years later. Coincidentally, Eric and Abby's older brother ended up becoming roommates, but neither of them knew about the connection until Abby came to visit. They built a close friendship white dating other people, and despite the fact that Eric didn't want to get married until he was thirty (he was 22 at the time), Abby was convinced she could change his mind. When they finally did get together, they ended up dating long distance for almost all of their relationship until Eric proposed on their four-year anniversary. Abby was relaxing on the beach with friends on a group vacation to Cabo, when they all decided to have a photo shoot and get dressed up. When Abby came back down to the beach, Eric was dressed in a suit and waiting on one knee. Knowing they wanted a destination wedding, Abby and Eric held their ceremony and reception at Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs, Texas so that their sister-in-laws (who had just had children) wouldn't have to travel out of the country. Abby found the Camp Lucy online (at The Knot!) before she was even engaged and instantly fell in love with the ethereal trees and romantic lighting of the brand new venue, Sacred Oaks, where she and Eric would later throw their magical, twinkling ceremony.
