A Romantic Outdoor Wedding at Arista Winery in Healdsburg, California
Jennifer Woldrich (29, Director) and Robert Pittman (29, Camera Assistant) met on the set of a little indie feature film. The two camera assistants began a year-long friendship which blossomed into love. On the night Robert proposed to Jennifer he had her convinced it was just another date night. “We went to dinner and then on a spontaneous trip to the Griffith observatory where I mentioned that I thought he was going to propose, but he maintained that we were just on an adventure,” said Jennifer. Next stop was fancy drinks and a romantic stroll. “By this time he had me convinced that this was a night just like any other with the best boyfriend anyone could ask for,” said Jennifer. “We returned home where he finally proposed when I was least expecting it.”When it came to planning there wedding they were faced with one big complication. “I had always wanted to get married outside somewhere lush and beautiful, but I also wanted to have the wedding in the summer when the weather is warm,” explained Jennifer. “However in California, summer and lush greenery don't tend to go together.” Luckily for this couple, California wine country offered them the perfect solution. “The beautiful vines at wineries become most lush just at the time of year when we wanted to get married and set the perfect backdrop for a romantic, classy event.”In order to offset the plush greens and romantic vibe, Jennifer and Robert used colors as a way to add a modern edge to their wedding. “We had a lot of romantic, vintage feeling elements to the decor and flowers, but the color palette gave it a modern twist.”
