A Romantic Mountain Wedding at the Glen House in Newry, Maine

Katie Beale (22, a 4th Grade Instructional Assistant) and Tyler Gibson (a Solutions Specialist) have a very unique and fun proposal story--he sent Katie on a scavenger hunt! "My roommate and I spent the day finding clues and heading to the next location. Tyler had been one step ahead of us the entire day!" Katie says. At the end of the day, her roommate, who had been in on the scavenger hunt the entire time, gave Katie a treasure map that lead her to the gorgeous grounds at Swannanoa Palace in Virginia. "There stood my boyfriend, with the same exact bouquet he had given me on our first date!" Katie recalls. The couple wanted a small, intimate destination wedding so they decided to hold their event at the Glen House in Newry, Maine. A color palette of eggplant, orchid, lavender and gold helped bring out the rustic romance of their wedding. "We definitely wanted our wedding to feel welcoming and intimate, and it was just that," Katie says.
