A Romantic, Modern Wedding at The South Warehouse in Jackson, Mississippi
Laura Strobel and Brett Farris’s classic summer wedding was filled with pops of playful pink that perfectly captured the vibrancy of the season. The festivities unfolded with a traditional church ceremony. Arrangements of variegated greenery, pink garden roses and pale green hydrangeas breathed freshness into the traditional space, allowing Laura and Brett to put their own personal mark on the ceremony and giving guests a taste of the evening’s theme. After exchanging vows, the pair whisked their guests off to The South Warehouse for a fun-filled night of celebrating. With its exposed brick walls, dark wood beams and sleek industrial feel, the venue provided the perfect counterbalance to the reception’s classic aesthetic. Dramatic chandeliers, gold chiavari chairs, and bundles of greenery and mixed pink and white blooms piled high on clear glass pedestals lent an elegant edge to the décor. An unexpected touch to the reception was the garden-themed favor table designed by Laura’s mother. Wildflower seeds enclosed in floral packets were placed in terracotta pots and styled alongside potted plants. “One of my favorite parts of the day was getting ready with my bridesmaids,” Laura says. “Some of them I don’t get to see very often, and I knew it would be a while before I saw them again. They’re such a great group of girls, and the wedding wouldn’t have been the same without them!”
