A Romantic, Modern Wedding at the Hyatt Regency at the Arch in St. Louis, Missouri

Not many couples can say that their wedding planner was the one who set them up, but in the case of Casey Bohnert (29 and a mechanical engineer) and Dave Wilson (34 and a self-employed contractor), that’s exactly what happened. After being introduced at a Cinco de Mayo soiree, Casey and Lacy Branch of Lacy Branch Events quickly became friends and it wasn’t long before Lacy started talking up a certain friend of hers that she thought would be the perfect fit for Casey — none other than Dave himself. “We quickly found out we had a lot in common and have been inseparable ever since,” says Casey of her first date with Dave. “Who knew five years later our friend Lacy would be planning our wedding!” Together with Lacy Branch, the couple planned an elegant, romantic affair at St. Louis’s Hyatt Regency at the Arch. The day started with a traditional ceremony at St. Anthony of Padua and photos in Lafayette Park, local landmarks which provided stunning backdrops for the monumental event. The couple and their guests then made their way to the 18th floor of the Hyatt Regency for a night filled with dinner, dancing and celebrating under the stars, the iconic St. Louis Arch in full view. Belli Fiori and Lacy Branch transformed the modern event space into a beautiful, romantic scene, decking out the reception tables in textured rose-accented linens, lush arrangements of pastel hydrangeas, stock and roses and plenty of warm, ambient candlelight. The couple stuck to a color palette of soft pastels to avoid detracting from the Regency’s unparalleled city views and gave the decor an eclectic twist with vintage details like suitcases, lanterns and colorful bud vases incorporated throughout. After a traditional sit down dinner, Casey and Dave hit the dance floor, their guests at their side, where they danced the night away to the upbeat sounds of CJ Disc Jockey. A tip for the taking form Casey: “During the nine months of planning, Lacy Branch Events tasked us with things to do in an organized manners, so that we would not get overwhelmed, making the planning phase very enjoyable and memorable.
