A Romantic, Modern Wedding at Mulvaney's Building & Loan in Sacramento, California

It took only one visit to Mulvaney's Building & Loan in Sacramento, California, for Michelle Winn (25 and an environmental scientist) and Justin Coldiron (30 and an energy trader) to fall in love with the indoor-outdoor space for their modern wedding with a romantic twist. "We already knew that we loved their food, but we fell in love with the romantic setting of the courtyard and intimate setting of the reception room," Michelle says. While Michelle maintained a Pinterest board with wedding inspiration, she noticed a pattern of black, white, gold and blush details that made picking the palette easy. Once Michelle and Justin told Anais Events that they wanted an antique frame as their ceremony backdrop, the wedding planners took it to the next level, setting up a large gold frame draped with white linens and flower arrangements. Guests waved wands with colorful ribbons and bells attached to the top to celebrate Michelle and Justin's unity, then moved to the indoor hall for the reception. Michelle and her sister decorated small chalkboards with gold glitter numbers for each dining table, which went with the gold and black menus on top of the gold dinnerware. Our attention drifted toward the three-tier naked cake layered with creamy goodness, topped with a wooden gold topper that read "Mr. & Mrs." See the elegant, modern details that we fell in love with, below.
