A Romantic Mansion Wedding at Lemp Mansion in St. Louis, Missouri

Lindsey Heffner (23 and a sustainability coordinator) and Kris LaFore's (26 and a CPA) rustic and romantic wedding came to life at Lemp Mansion in St. Louis, Missouri. With soft pinks and ivory seen throughout every floral arrangement and table decoration, their back-to-back evening ceremony and reception was comfortable for the wedding party and guests. For decor, Lindsey found inspiration on Pinterest and brought burlap table runners and lace doilies to decorate the reception tables. "The venue was surrounded by hydrangeas, roses and baby's breath, with mason jars everywhere and picture frames for table numbers," says Lindsey. The couple included many personal touches to their wedding. Their guest book was a drawing of the two of them, by a comic book artist, and Lindsey's dad roasted his famous coffee for all the guests. "I made sure my grandma was acknowledged by releasing butterflies after the first look with my sister and Kris," says Lindsey. With the dinner catered by Lemp Mansion, Lindsey and Kris brought in The Blue Owl Restaurant and Bakery to serve wedding cake, cupcakes, pies and other desserts to their guests. To add an extra element to their reception, Lindsey and Kris took dance lessons to perform a choreographed number as their first dance for their friends and family. A piece of advice from the bride: "Always keep in mind it is your day, and never have regrets," says Lindsey. "It is just one day. Have fun, and always appreciate getting to share the special day with your friends and family!"
