It can be hard to balance the formal elements of a wedding with the fun details that make it unique, but Sarah Baumgartner (29 and an attorney) and Norm Bishara (40 and a professor) did an excellent job of doing just that. Their romantic wedding, which was photographed by Hetler Photography and planned by Red Heels Events, took place at Felt Mansion in Sarah's hometown of Holland, Michigan. "We loved the versatility of the historical building and its beautiful grounds by Lake Michigan," Sarah says. With a color palette of soft pink, gold and ivory, Sarah and Norm's tented reception was beautifully decorated with classic flower arrangements of roses, chrysanthemums, calla lilies and amaranthus in gold vases. Dining tables were arranged with gold chiavari chairs and the sweetheart table was covered in shimmery gold linen. Their wedding was catered by Salt of the Earth, a local farm-to-table restaurant, and dinner was served family style at each table. As a nod to the Dutch heritage of Holland, Michigan, Sarah and Norm gave their guests wooden clogs personalized with their names as favors. On their wedding style, Sarah says,"we wanted our wedding to be elegant without being overly formal," and their wedding achieved that balance perfectly.
