A Romantic Lodge Wedding at The Deerpark Restaurant in Asheville, North Carolina

Kelsey Culberton (26 and a special education teacher) and Andrew Goodnight (28 and a Porsche technician) met through mutual friends and had their first date at a dog park. A few years later, Andrew proposed on a beautiful day in the middle of Meadowlark Garden. "At first I thought he was playing a terrible joke on me, but then I saw the ring and instantly started crying," says Kelsey. The couple hosted a sophisticated affair at The Deerpark Restaurant on Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. A shimmering pink, gold and black reception followed a rustic lodge ceremony. "Our wedding day was also Andrew’s parents 29th wedding anniversary, so half way through our first dance we surprised everyone by asking his parents to come join us," says. "During this time, Andrew’s dad stole me for a little while and Andrew danced with his mom!" The bride accessorized her timeless Wtoo wedding dress with a statement peony and ranunculus arrangement. "I saw a picture of a cascading bouquet on The Knot and immediately knew I had to have it!"says Kelsey. "I knew I wanted a romantic feel to our wedding and Andrew is all about simplicity so we tried to have a nice mix of the two."
