A Romantic Lilly Pullitzer-Inspired Wedding at Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville, Georgia

After finishing law school, Brittany O'Connor, 30, an attorney, began working on a campaign while she figured out what to do next for her career. It was here that she met her husband-to-be, Chris Finkbeiner, 28, a lobbyist, who was working for the same campaign. The two had an instant connection, but Chris waited until after they were no longer working together to finally ask Brittany out. Following their first date at their favorite college hang out (both attended the University of Florida), the two became inseparable. Four years later, Chris popped the question on a weekend trip to see the season opener for Gainesville's football team. "When we got to Gainesville, Chris pulled into a beautiful bed and breakfast instead of our usual gameday hotel. When we got to the room, it was full of candles, roses, champagne, and cupcakes spelling out "Will You Marry Me?" By the time Chris got down on one knee and presented me with the most amazing ring I have ever seen, I was already crying and telling him yes," recalls Brittany. For their "Gone with the Wind meets Lilly Pullitzer in Paris" themed wedding, Brittany and Chris whisked their guests off to Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville, Georgia, a classic southern plantation surrounded by magnolias and long leaf pines. The stately venue offered multiple reception venue options for the couple to choose from; the pair opting for the rustic barn to which allowed them to play up the day's secondary "high end woodser" theme. To achieve their vision, the couple chose a color palette of pink, mint green and gold, decorating the reception space with elegant rose, hydrangea and ranunculus centerpieces, lots of warm candlelight and diy touches.
