A Romantic, Industrial Wedding at the Lace Factory Wedding in Deep River, Connecticut

Jenna Fahey (29 and a director of partnerships) and Chris Maloney (36 and a pilot in the US Marine Corps) had stained wood centerpieces, striped accents, and gray and gold touches that played up the couple’s charming factory venue. A bagpiper performed as guests entered the church, and onlookers waved mini American flags during the newlyweds’ grand exit. “We passed through a sword arch as we left the church,” Jenna says. “It was a wonderful way to welcome me to the Marine Corps and a special thing for our family and friends to witness.” The couple decorated their venue with dozens of DIY details, including 150 wood candle votives. “Our reception décor was a labor of love,” Jenna says.  “We wanted to play up the raw, understated space with simple items.” Piped vanilla buttercream mimicked the stripes found on the rustic DIY table numbers. For dessert, the couple cut into a marble cake filled with chocolate mousse and passed out homemade chocolate chip cookies. “Our guests devoured them,” Jenna says. “I think the sugar fueled the after-party!”
