A Romantic, Historic Wedding at Hamilton County Memorial Hall in Cincinnati, Ohio

Kristin Baird (26, an artist) and Conan Gibson (37, a GIS technician) were introduced through Kristin’s roommate in college. They had their first date on Valentine’s Day at a coffee shop, and began a serious relationship for the next six years. On Conan’s birthday, the couple decided to go to the rooftop of Carew Tower, the tallest building in Cincinnati, Ohio. That is when Conan asked for Kristin’s hand in marriage, and so their one-year of wedding planning began. The couple had their wedding at Hamilton County Memorial Hall in Cincinnati, Ohio, a historical building that was built in the early 1900s by architect Samuel Hannaford. Kristin and Conan fell in love with the unique characteristics of the venue, and decorated the place with DIY elements in a blush, champagne, peach and cream color palette accented with metallic. The romantic ceremony took place in the theater inside the Memorial Hall, which was transformed into their reception space with a large screen that displayed pictures of the couple. Guests took home mini bottles of olive oil and balsamic vinegar with a homemade spice mix to reflect the couple’s love for cooking. The photos that guests took in the photo booth were printed and used for their thank you cards, along with individual signatures and messages from the couple.
