The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, are gorgeous, filled with classic architecture and nestles a villa fit for any romantic waterfront affair. That’s why as soon as Heather Lomagistro (26) and Collin Lomagistro (26) saw this venue, they knew it was the right spot for their wedding. “It was gorgeous, and had everything we could ask for in a wedding location,” Heather says. Each piece of decor enhanced its lush greenery, rustic stone walls and picturesque landscapes. Julia Rohde Designs lined the aisle with arrangements of eucalyptus and blush garden roses as guests took their seats in gold chiavari chairs. Heather carried a natural white bouquet with hints of blush peonies and greenery as she made her entrance in a classic white-lace wedding dress by Liancarlo. For a sweet and personal touch, she honored her father with a blue heart on the back of her dress that was made from one of his favorite shirts. Once Heather and Colin exchanged vows, the night proceeded with a tented reception on the villa’s terrace. Family-style tables were lined with natural tablescapes of eucalyptus, candles and peonies as each place setting was met with a white, Scottish, “Heather” flower. Guests took in the view and a few photos by the “Love” marquee sign with Thompson Photography Group, as the band All the Answers played in the background. All enjoyed a slice or two from the couple’s three wedding cakes, which was followed by a late-night snack: doughnuts. For future couples, Heather shares a tip: “Embrace every second of the wedding. It's the absolute most magical day of your life.”

Garden Rose and Eucalyptus Aisle Decor
We've seen more than a few blush dresses, but Heather's bridesmaids look stunning. Each wore an Amanda Uprichard gown with neutral wedge shoes, a silver statement necklace and a classic hairstyle. The couple's florist, Julia Rohde Designs, finished off their looks with natural white bouquets.
“Julia Rohde, our florist, was instrumental in all the details," Heather says . Her team added a natural touch to the bridesmaid looks, arranging sweet bouquets of white ranunculus, white roses, dusty miller, greenery, succulent, eucalyptus and Scottish "Heather" flowers.
"The most important part about my wedding dress was the blue heart on the back," Heather says. She honored her father, who had passed away, by using one of his favorite blue shirts to make a sweet heart detail on the Liancarlo dress. She also carried Scottish "Heather" flowers in her bouquet to acknowledge his heritage.

Heather and Collin's stationer, First Snow, designed a whimsical invitation suite that suited their garden venue. "Darrah was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all our expectations," Heather says. Each piece of stationery included the couple's monogram in a halo of greenery and fun pink florals.

“Our favorite outfits were the flower girls', of course," Heather says. Each wore a sweet, white dress with a full tulle skirt and gold-glitter Converse shoes designed by Heather. But our favorite part was that each bodice included Heather and Collin's monogram in gold.

Heather walked down the aisle with a classic bouquet by Julia Rohde Designs. Blush and white peonies, succulents, eucalyptus, white and pink roses and greenery were gathered in the arrangement, as blush petals lined the aisle. An even sweeter touch, however, stood behind Heather during her entrance. "We had one of my dad's favorite bagpipers play behind me as I walked down the aisle,” she says.

“Our reception was perfectly decorated, and I give all the credit to Julia Rohde," Heather says. Each family-style table was filled with eucalyptus, tall flameless candles, blush ranunculus, white peonies and greenery, as low tealight candles gave off a soft glow. For a personal touch, each place setting was also met with Heather’s father’s favorite beer, Belhaven.

Guests with a sweet tooth would love this wedding. Earth and Sugar baked three confections for Heather and Collin that fit their garden venue and natural florals with a classic touch. The three-tier white confection was topped with peonies, ranunculus and succulents as two single-tier cakes were met with single peonies.
Heather and Collin had two forms of live music at their reception: their worship leader, who performed the first dance, and a band. "We hired the most amazing band to perform at our reception," Heather says. "The band, All the Answers, played all night. The best part is that they perform mash-ups for all the different decades."
