A Romantic, Garden Wedding at the Llambias House in St. Augustine, Florida
Brandi Lombardo (22 and a paralegal) and Katelin Henley (24 and works in financial services) met through their mutual work friend not long after Brandi relocated to Gainesville, FL from her hometown of New Orleans. After getting to know each other on a weekend beach trip with two of their friends, the pair realized that they had a real connection and quickly became inseparable. “They say when you meet your soul mate, you just know, and that beach trip was it for us; where our love first sparked and started our long and beautiful journey,” says Katelin. After two years of dating, Katelin popped the question during a surprise photo shoot in downtown Gainesville, Florida where they first met. When it came to choosing their wedding’s location, St. Augustine, FL, where they spent that first weekend getting to know one another, seemed like an obvious choice. The Llambias House and Garden captured the essence and charm of the city and offered a quaint, intimate setting for the affair. They chose a romantic, garden chic theme for the day, inspired by their childhood visions of their dream weddings. Playing into this, Brandi and Katelin selected a color palette of blush pink, gray, white and touches of silver and gold. Full blooms like peonies and garden roses accented with lots of lush greenery brought the garden vision to life, while crystal chandeliers, ivory candles, lanterns and vintage storybooks fused timeless elegance with romance and whimsy. DIY elements like all of the wedding’s stationery, chalkboard signs and skeleton key escort cards added a personal touch to the day, as well as the dessert bar, chock full of the couple’s favorite treats.
