A Romantic Garden Wedding at Coles Garden Wedding & Event Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Rachel Butler (28 and an industrial hygienist) and Joel Butler (28 and a student) took the beautiful space at Coles Garden Wedding & Event Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and created their own romantic and rustic garden affair with dusty rose, jade and gold hues. Even though Rachel and Joel had to move their outdoor wedding indoors because of the weather, Rachel says she was not disappointed in the end result whatsoever. "I'm so glad in the end, because it turned out better than I imagined," she says. Sarah Libby Photography captured every touching moment and all the rustic and vintage-inspired decor. Opting for mostly DIY decor, Rachel scoured local shops for the perfect lanterns and vases for her centerpieces. New Leaf Florist added arrangements of roses, peonies, hydrangeas and veronicas to the lantern centerpieces, keeping with the garden setting. To keep their traditional wedding more unique to their personalities and less formal, Rachel and Joel made sure their DJ, BTP Productions, played music from their favorite bands. "We played a mix of our favorite bands, ranging from the Black Keys to the Beatles," Rachel says. Rachel's advice to future brides and grooms is to relax and enjoy the day. Even though a flat tire made Joel over an hour late for pictures and a torrential downpour caused the wedding to be moved indoors, Rachel and Joel still had their perfect day. "We just rearranged some things and everything turned out great," Rachel says.
