A Rustic Fall Wedding at Megunticook Golf Club in Rockport, Maine
Camille Conover (24 and an online boutique producer) and Dennis Gunderson (30 and a private yacht program manager) planned a romantic fall affair inspired by loosely gathered arrangements of blush-colored cafe au lait dahlias. “I absolutely love how end-of-season blooms have that ‘holding on to summer’ feel,” Camille says. The flowers were the inspiration behind their organic palette of green, pewter, blush and merlot. Paper cones made from recycled sheet music housed hundreds of flower petals, which guests tossed during the couples recession down the aisle. Camille’s wild, textured bouquet incorporated lush cafe au lait dahlias and a single green strawberry sourced from a local farm. Jars of homemade blueberry jam made by Camille’s mother deliciously doubled as escort cards. To keep the focus on the flowers and the food, the couple opted for simple white china and table linens. “We wanted the atmosphere to be that of an intimate summer dinner,” Camille says. Understated décor lent to the day’s fuss-free feel, while a live jazz band and lots of candlelight delivered just the right amount of refined flair.
