A Romantic Fall Wedding at Forest Hills Country Club in Chesterfield, Missouri
With no theme in mind for their early-fall wedding, Carrie Bayes (32 and a preschool teacher) and Jesse Putman (33 and an IT managing director) let their day evolve organically. The result was "a little bit romantic and a little bit vintage, with a few modern elements added in," Carrie says. Lush florals and a rich seasonal color scheme of blush, marsala, ivory and gold effortlessly tied it all together. Carrie always wanted an outdoor evening wedding, which led them to the golf course at Forest Hills Country Club in Chesterfield, Missouri. The couple were married under a rustic birch arbor accented with deep-red blooms and greenery. Afterward they met their guests for dinner and dancing in the club's ballroom, which was washing in amber uplighting and covered in dreamy linen draping. Carrie's favorite detail? Her dress will always have a special place in her heart. "My wedding dress is my favorite," she says. "I really wanted a pale blush wedding gown but fell in love with a lace off-the-shoulder Romona Keveza gown that was available only in white or ivory. The amazing staff at Town & Country Bridal made some calls to their rep, and I was able to custom order this dress with a pale-blush lining and an ivory lace overlay." —Meghan Overdeep
