For their late-fall wedding in Oneonta, Alabama, Tyler Nesselrotte and Connor Darden planned a romantic, rustic affair with a dramatic color palette of burgundy, blush, navy and gold hues.

Flowers played an important role in the décor, with dahlias, roses, scabiosa, astilbes and ample greenery enhancing the natural beauty of the garden ceremony and breathing life into the barn reception. A lush garland of blush, burgundy and ivory blooms woven throughout the vintage wrought iron wedding arch framed the couple as they said their “I dos,” while fragrant bundles of eucalyptus adorned the welcoming wood farm tables during dinner.

Tyler and Connor met over donuts, so the couple knew the dessert had to make a debut after dinner. The prominently featured sweet treats—a big hit with guests—were arranged artfully on a rustic wood wall. “The donut wall even said ‘Donuts are our love language,’ and we used the hashtag #DonutsToDarden,” Tyler says.

Other standout details included the couple’s wedding day duds. Tyler’s ballerina-inspired Hayley Paige ball gown embodied the day’s romantic feel with its floral lace and long illusion sleeves, while Tyler’s bright botanical skinny tie added a fun, modern twist to his classic navy suit.
