rn Kate Bosley (30 and a corporate recruiter) and Blake Smith (31 and a restaurant owner) brought their tented affair to life with a chic blend of light pink, cream, ivory and beige. After exchanging vows in a Catholic ceremony, Kate and Blake celebrated with guests at a friend’s home. Opulent floral arrangements and gold décor, including chandeliers, added a sophisticated touch. “The flower wall behind the band really sticks out to me. It added so much to the tent,” Kate says. A few masculine elements—a whiskey and cigar bar, wood tables and faux fur—acted as counterpoints to the romantic decorations. During cocktail hour, guests sampled a raw bar, crab dip and a variety of passed bites and sipped The Mountaineer, a whiskey-based signature cocktail named after their alma mater’s mascot. At dinnertime, family and friends shared gnocchi at their tables. “We had the food served family style, so everyone could have as much or as little of everything,” Kate says.
