A Romantic, Elegant Wedding at the Los Willow Estate in Fallbrook, California

Pamela Sochynsky (25 and works in customer service) and Douglas Heatley (29 and a shipping coordinator) planned an elegant, romantic affair at Los Willows Estate in Fallbrook, Cal. “I saw my sister’s florist post a lot of pictures there and loved the setting,” says Pamela. “Surrounded by lush green grass, a lake, meadows and lots of flowers, it had a romantic atmosphere filled with nature.” The day started off with an outdoor ceremony along the lake, the aisle impeccably decorated with ionic columns topped with opulent arrangements of ivory blooms like roses and hydrangeas and an eye-catching wedding arch draped with a cascading floral garland. The couple had fun with their entrances, Douglas arriving in style to the ceremony in a cherry red roadster, while Pamela gracefully floated in off the lake on a pontoon boat, parents in tow. After exchanging vows, the couple and their guests took the few steps over to the Los Willows reception tent, where they spent the evening celebrating with good food and lots of dancing. The light-filled structure boasted high ceilings draped in airy white fabric and a stately chandelier that cast warm, ambient glow over the entire room. The couple went with an elegant color palette of mint, ivory and gold for the reception and allowed the centerpieces to be the stars of the show. Tall gilded vases overflowed with garden roses, succulents, amaranths, lisianthuses, veronica, tulips, dahlias and rice flowers, while shimmery gold candles added an inviting touch to each tabletop. Guests danced the night away to the sounds of DJ Kerry, pausing only to take photos at Pamela and Doug’s photo booth. A tip for the taking from Pamela: “Time goes by so fast. Enjoy every minute of it and try not to stress. And know that planning a wedding is not that hard when you have people who love you by your side.”
