A Romantic, Elegant Ballroom Wedding at Grand Oaks Event & Business Center in Grove City, Ohio

With spiral crystal chandeliers and white drapery touching every corner of the ceiling, this romantic ballroom wedding embodied elegance in a palette of pink, black and whites hues, just as Kyra Hopkins (25 and a registered dietitian) and Wil Longsdorf (28 and a personal trainer) had envisioned. The ceremony and reception took place at Grand Oaks Event & Business Center in Grove City, Ohio, beautifully captured by Asteria Photography. At the ceremony, ivory hydrangea bunches were tied to the ends of white folding chairs, and the couple shared their first kiss in front of a white grand fireplace. Kyra picked out an ivory wedding dress with an illusion neckline, accented bodice and tulle skirt, which was designed by Watters & Watters. The reception that followed was held inside the venue’s ballroom, with ivory-dressed dining tables set with silver dinnerware that were positioned underneath the intricate ceiling decor. Although the ballroom reception screamed elegance, one of our favorite details was back at the ceremony -- the mantel decorated in an English garden style of ivory lilies, roses and hydrangeas accented with lush greenery. “The ceremony decor was very important to me because of how long I waited to marry my groom,” Kyra says. “I wanted that moment to feel elegant and fairy-tale-like.”
