A Romantic Destination Wedding at Villa Tolomei Hotel in Florence, Italy
Zoe Hammond (27 and an event organizer) and Guy Bellamy (29 and a marketing manager) wanted their wedding to be a relaxing weekend getaway for their guests. They had a destination wedding at Villa Tolomei Hotel in Florence, Italy. "We chose the hotel because it’s so close to Florence, but when you are there it feels secluded and has amazing views of Florence," Zoe says. "Plus, we were able to rent all 30 rooms of the hotel, so our guests could enjoy it exclusively." To decorate their wedding, Zoe and Guy chose a palette of blush, pink, soft green and ivory. The ceremony, which took place outdoors on the lawn, was set up with a wedding arch covered in greenery and pink flowers. The ceremony aisle was scattered with pink rose petals and the chairs on the aisle featured pink and green arrangements of roses and hydrangeas tied with pink ribbon. The reception took place on the hotel's loggia and terrace, facing breathtaking vistas of the Italian countryside. Ivory reception tables named after some of Zoe and Guy's favorite cities were topped with low arrangements of peonies, roses, astilbes and greenery. In addition to serving an American-style wedding cake, Zoe and Guy hired a local gelato truck for guests to enjoy for dessert. The newlyweds and their closest family and friends danced the night away. "Toward the end of the night, as I was dancing with my new husband, I looked around at all our guests and the incredible view of the city and soaked it all in," Zoe says. "I remember thinking that we couldn’t have wished for anything more." Andrea Corsi perfectly captured the day.
