A Romantic Destination Wedding at Royalton White Sands Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica

The weather is warm, the people are friendly and the food is good in Montego Bay, Jamaica, making it a super-fun spot to tie the knot! Since Sharon Lee (26 and a project coordinator) and Chris Leung (34 and a business analyst) got engaged while traveling, they wanted to have a destination wedding, and the Royalton White Sands Resort combined all their favorite things in one place. The day began with an intimate outdoor ceremony where Sharon and Chris said “I do” in front of a stunning ocean backdrop. Later, the party moved indoors to the resort’s grand ballroom, where the couple’s 35 guests had plenty of room to dance and jam to live calypso music. Classic blush pink plays up the romance in any setting, but Sharon and Chris totally embraced it in all parts of their wedding. They were a very DIY couple, and with the help of their wedding party, created many decor details themselves. (The bridal party’s silk peony bouquets looked so real, they even confused Jamaican customs at the airport.) One thoughtful detail we love? Sharon and Chris were great hosts to their 35 guests, and made hospitality bags in totes they ironed with a Jamaica design. The totes included personalized thank-you cards, the wedding itinerary, a selfie stick, sunscreen, an underwater pouch, and even a hangover kit just to name a few. See the sweet details, captured by Julius & James, below.
