A Romantic Bohemian Wedding at Whispering Tree Ranch in Laveen, Arizona

Vanessa Mendoza (23 and an insurance agent) and Jairo Alvarez (24 and an insurance underwriter) met through their church assembly, but didn’t hang out until they saw each other at a friend’s party. Jairo asked Vanessa for her phone number so he could get an insurance quote on his motorcycle, and the two hit it off from there. One day, Jairo told Vanessa he had a surprise photo shoot planned for them in the Civic Center in Glendale, Arizona. During the shoot, Jairo took a break for water while the photographer continued to take pictures of Vanessa. When Vanessa turned around, Jairo was on one knee with her dream ring asking her to marry him! As Vanessa said “Yes,” Jairo whistled and both of their families ran out to celebrate with them. Vanessa and Jairo got married at the Whispering Tree Ranch in Laveen, Arizona. “I wanted an outdoor wedding with trees and green grass for a bohemian look,” says Vanessa. The vintage, rustic venue was accented by a color palette of peach, blush, gold and ivory with lots of forest green for an outdoorsy, natural atmosphere. Whimsical details covered the grounds, from old books topped with succulents wrapped lightly in burlap to vintage furniture, a globe and a gold feather motif.
