A Romantic Art Deco Wedding at NYIT de Seversky Mansion in Old Westbury, New York

It doesn't get more old-world-glam than NYIT de Seversky Mansion on Long Island's Gold Coast, making it the perfect setting for Jessica Jakobson (29 and an event planner) and Christopher Furino's (33 and an agronomist and horticulturist) Art Deco inspired soiree. "The 1920’s have always inspired me. There is just something so romantic about the Golden Age," says Jessica. Every detail incorporated the couple's Art Deco theme—from the stationery, to the gold sequin tablecloths, to the wedding cake finished with a cascade of vintage gold fans. An event planner herself, and owner of Jessica Jakobson Events, Jessica took care of the day's planning, while she relied on Diane Ringrose of Petals to provide the lush, fall-inspired florals and Cly Creation to capture every gorgeous moment. The best part? As a nod to Jessica and Christopher's shared affection for skulls, Christopher accessorized his traditional tuxedo with custom skull and crossbones shoes, a skull patterned pocket square and pearl skull cufflinks. ?We love formal weddings with personality! Wondering how they pulled it all off? From Jessica: "We made a rule that during our engagement we would have one date night a week where we would go out to dinner and not talk about the wedding at all. It really helped us so much! It was so nice just to be able to really connect with Chris during the engagement, and actually enjoy the engagement and each other during our nights out."
