Above all, this couple wanted the vibe of their wedding to remain relaxed and breezy. After a spontaneous engagement, “I wanted everything to be calm and stress free, like a vacation,” the bride says. The couple went to the bride’s home state of Florida in search of a cozy, comfortable venue. They chose Moorings Village because “it just felt you were staying at your family home,” the bride says. Subdued greenery marked the ceremony spot and served as the day’s minimal décor. “As I walked down the aisle looking at the trees and my partner waiting for me, I just enjoyed the view,” the bride says.
The couple cut into an almond amaretto cake with espresso filling. After the ceremony, guests grabbed appetizers like fig spread and crackers as they sipped champagne on the front porch. Vibrant croton leaves added color next to the neutral linens and silver flatware. The couple and their guests sat down to dinner at a single farm table, where they passed scallops and filet mignon over a greenery runner and colorful flowers.
