A Romantic and Elegant Wedding at Franklin Plaza in Troy, New York
Ryan (28 and a certified college planning specialist) and Elizabeth (30 and a mental health counselor) Chenot met at a night club while Elizabeth was out celebrating her friend's bachelorette party. Coincidentally, Elizabeth knew one of Ryan's friends and asked his help getting Ryan's attention. Ryan and Elizabeth talked the rest of the night and kept in touch to set up their first dinner date. Their relationship developed quickly, with Elizabeth moving into Ryan's house just one summer later! Ryan planned the perfect proposal that February, making sure Elizabeth's friend could distract her with a day of shopping and manicures. Meanwhile, he prepped the house with dozens of lit candles and her favorite love song set to play on the stereo. When she came home, Elizabeth opened the door to her sister's black lab, Lucy, who was wearing a white T-shirt with the big question written on it in big letters. After Ryan gave his speech (and Elizabeth said yes), he drove her to a surprise engagement party with all of their loved ones there to celebrate. They held a traditional ceremony at Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany, New York followed by an elegant ballroom reception at Franklin Plaza in Troy, New York. The bridesmaids wore short navy dresses with fuchsia peep-toes to match their vibrant fuchsia rose and blue hydrangea bouquets. Tall and short centerpieces featured the same floral arrangements with a few white calla lilies for contrast to match the groomsmen's pink calla lit boutonnieres. Ryan and Elizabeth kept their guests well-fed with a hearty cocktail hour, a steak, chicken, or fish dinner, and a late night snack of hot dogs, macaroni salad, and potato chips. For dessert, the bride and groom cut into a six-tier white wedding cake decorated with rhinestones and a monogrammed rhinestone cake topper.
