A Relaxed Wedding Celebration at The Cool Springs House in Brentwood, Tennessee

Jennifer Kaufman (27 and an elementary school teacher) and Brad Gambill (27 and a surgical technician) first met in college when their roommates were dating. After parting ways after college, the pair reconnected several years later when they both moved back to the Nashville area. Brad proposed to Jennifer during a family vacation at the beach. "The beach has always been a very special place to me and he also knew how important it was to me that my son be involved in all aspects of our wedding and future lives," says Jennifer. "We went out one night for a crab hunt along the shore line. The men and children ran on ahead while I chatted with my now sister-in-law. Suddenly, I look up to see my son running back in our direction yelling, 'Momma, look what Brad found!' and he handed me a treasure box that held my engagement ring—it was perfect!" The couple invited guests to The Cool Springs House in Brentwood, Tennessee, for a family-focused celebration. A neutral color palette complemented the house's rustic character while wildflower arrangements added a pop of color to the laid-back reception. Yard games including corn hole and badminton were set up for the children to encourage and relaxed and playful atmosphere. "Our family is full of children and it was important to us that everyone felt welcome and comfortable," says Jennifer. In keeping with the relaxed feel, the couple surprised guests with food truck fare catered by their local favorite, Puckett’s Grocery and Restaurant. We set up and decorated, made our own play lists and Brad even made several of our decorations including the chuppah and a marque lighted love sign by the dance floor," says Jennifer. "Being so involved made our wedding so much more personal and special to us."
