A Relaxed, Summer Wedding at The Lodge at Sonoma in Sonoma, California

Brianna Dahlberg (30 and a lawyer) and David Durling’s (31 and a software analyst) wedding was all about effortless elegance and celebrating the summer season. The Lodge at Sonoma in Sonoma, Calif. provided a breathtaking natural backdrop for the day, with lush, manicured lawns, bright blooms and charming stone architecture creating the ideal atmosphere for an al fresco affair.

Taking advantage of the bright sunshine and balmy weather, the pair hosted their “I dos” outdoors, exchanging vows under an arch of airy white fabric overlaid with cascading pink and white florals. Large umbrellas were woven throughout to keep guests comfortable throughout the proceedings, while a trickling stone fountain added to the ceremony’s romantic ambiance. Brianna and David incorporated family into the ceremony where possible for extra personal flair, with Brianna’s uncle officiating and the couple’s French bulldog, Maggie, bearing witness — tutu, flower collar and all.

Cocktail immediately followed on the lawn, where bluegrass band, The Creak, filled the air with their upbeat sounds and got guests in the mood to party. The reception unfolded indoors and after a decadent dinner and a bit of dessert, David’s brother-in-law, a professional DJ, begin to spin, keeping the dance floor packed and the party going all night long.
