A Relaxed Rustic Fall Wedding at Sanctuary Vineyards in Jarvisburg, North Carolina
Amber Fagan (33 and a consultant) and James Hunter (38 and a developer) began dating after they met at a Christmas party in 2010. While James was out of town for a few weeks working in DC, he came back one weekend and surprised Amber with flowers and an engagement ring. "At first, I thought he was down on one knee because he dropped something!" says Amber. "He's also a big math nerd—part of why I love him—so he gave me this beautiful speech about the significance of the numbers of the dates in our lives." For their rustic fall celebration, the couple planned a winery wedding at Sanctuary Vineyards in Jarvisburg, North Carolina. The couple worked with lace and burlap accents along with their purple and orange color palette to complement their rustic venue as well as their November wedding date. Flowers made of lace, burlap, purple velvet and orange accents along with feathers and pinecones, filled the twine-wrapped wine bottle centerpieces. "We wanted guests to enjoy themselves and feel relaxed so our ceremony was short and sweet and the reception was very laid-back," says Amber. "That also reflects us a couple because we're pretty low maintenance!"
