A Relaxed Oceanfront Wedding at Pelican Watch Shelter in Folly Beach

Kayt Jackson (20 and an eye technician) and Wesley Griggs (25 and a construction manager) met after Kayt's family moved down South from New York. "Our story—I kid you not—is one of love at first sight," says Kayt. "We fell in love that day and about eights later Wesley proposed with the kindest words I have ever heard in my life!" The couple exchanged vows in the same spot as their first date, Folly Beach, followed by a relaxed celebration at Pelican Watch Shelter. The beachside reception decor included a capri blue color palette, burlap and sea shell accents as well as personal photos from throughout their relationship. "It's nice knowing that you get to enjoy the place where you got married every summer," says Kayt. "Going back to Folly Beach will always bring back the lovely memories while tanning and enjoying the beach together." The breezy night included burgers and beer to set a carefree tone, followed by a sandcastle wedding cake made by the bride's grandmother.
