A Relaxed and Romantic Wedding at Rancho Mirando in Fischer, Texas

BJ Cash, 30, a VP at Cash Construction, married Morgan Richardson, 25, a yoga instructor, in a laid-back summer wedding in Fischer, Texas. The couple met through a mutual friend when Morgan was visiting Austin. Four-and-a-half years later, BJ surprised Morgan while she was home for the holidays by showing up on her parents' doorstep with a limo. "We pulled up to a beautiful lake at sunset and followed a path of candles and rose petals down to a blanket on the shore where he gave me the sweetest, most heartfelt speech and got down on one knee, pulled out an amazingly beautiful ring and popped the question," she says. "It was the best night of my life!" The couple chose Rancho Mirando as the location for their big day because of it's proximity to Austin and beautiful landscape. "I'd always known I wanted to get married outdoors in nature with a beautiful backdrop," Morgan says. Staying true to their laid-back personalities, the couple took a very casual and fun approach to their nuptials. The decor was inspired by the look of Rancho Mirando and it's surrounding landscape. A color palette of soft pink and pale green was incorporated into the floral arrangements, stationary and wedding party attire, among other things. Following the outdoor ceremony, guests attended a patio cocktail hour and pavilion reception with dinner, toasts and dancing. "The elements of our wedding that best reflected us as a couple were that we kept things casual, fun and lighthearted," says the bride. "Weddings can seem so stuffy and formal sometimes, and that's just not our style."
