A Rainbow-Inspired Color Palette Wowed at This Devil's Thumb Ranch Wedding in the Colorado Rockies

Color, and lots of it, was the name of the game at Gaby and Jake's wedding in the mountains of Tabernash, Colorado, at Devil's Thumb Ranch. "We wanted to have a PARTY. We were successful in that mission. We chose bright happy colors reflective of our Latin heritage and a good time," says Gaby of the colorful and joyful inspiration for their Rocky Mountain big day. 

Vibrant floral arrangements were key to achieving Gaby and Jake's vision of a festive celebration. "The florals were definitely a highlight of our wedding," says Gaby. "We had lots and lots of brightly colored flowers and greenery for both the ceremony and the reception. It was lush and colorful just as we imagined." Another crucial element in ensuring the wedding felt like a party was great entertainment. For their musical needs, Gaby and Jake hired their friend's band "The Main Squeeze" to get the party started at their wedding. "They made the wedding the huge success that it was. They don’t really do weddings, so it was a big deal for them to agree to play our wedding. Notably, when we first entered the reception and came into the band playing Phish-Tweezer, that was an unforgettable moment. All our friends and family were there, and we danced our butts off." 

Looking back on their colorful Rocky Mountain wedding, Gaby and Jake encourage all current to-be-weds to "remember that this day is about making a commitment to your partner and try not to get overwhelmed or caught up in the wedding planning too much. If you can afford a planner, get a planner, and then accept that some things will not go as planned. Prioritize the fun and being able to include the people you want to share the day with. Prioritize the music whether it is a great Spotify playlist or funky band, the music sets the tone of your wedding."
