A Purple DIY Wedding at Trinity Bible Church in Powell, Wyoming

Tawny Gibson (29 and works as a hospitality manager) and Jeffrey Camp (34 and works in HVAC tech) met through their mothers, who went to junior high school together. For Valentine’s Day, Tawny and Jeff went to a quaint little restaurant with paper table linens and crayons to write on the table. “To my surprise, I thought Jeff was signing the receipt at the end of the night,” Tawny says. “But, he was actually writing, upside down, on the paper table cloth, ‘Will you marry me?’ After reality set in, all I could say was, ‘Heck yes!’” The couple got married in Tawny’s hometown in Powell, Wyoming, at Trinity Bible Church. They exchanged vows in front of a beautiful rock wall accented with natural wood for a natural, rustic feel. Afterwards, they had their reception in the church’s grand reception hall. They decorated with purple string lights and white linens. Instead of dinner, they just served dessert. The couple’s friends and family made an assortment of goodies including cheesecakes, cookies, scotcheroos, chocolates and, of course, wedding cake. The two-tier buttercream wedding cake was filled with strawberry filling and topped with fresh strawberries and baby’s breath. Yum! At the end of the night, the couple changed into something more comfortable and exited through guests waving streamers.
