A Purple Beach Wedding at Loews Don Cesar Resort in St. Pete Beach, Florida

Louisiana natives Leah Additon (27 and in health care) and Jacob Michel (37 and in health care) brought the spirit of New Orleans to the Loews Don Cesar Resort with their wedding's eye-catching purple color scheme. Limelight Photography was there to capture every moment, from Leah and Jake’s beach ceremony under an eggplant-accented wedding arch to the sunset cocktail hour and fun indoor reception complete with Mardi Gras masks and purple uplighting. The couple’s florist, Lyfe of the Party LLC, helped Leah and Jake bring their themed hue into every table setting at the reception through purple lace runners, flower petals and low floating centerpieces. Each added a welcome pop of color against the white linens. Another detail that added to the couple’s party atmosphere was the New Orleans-themed table names. Oval purple and black cards were accented with fleur-de-lis for a fun Louisiana flair. Each was placed around a second set of wedding favors for their guests. “We gave each guest at the wedding a thank-you gift of wine,” says Leah. The couple continued their celebration with the help of a six-person band. “It felt like we were celebrating on Bourbon Street!” says Leah. “Everyone danced all night and celebrated with us! It was an amazing night that I will always remember!”
