A Pretty Wedding at Whitehall Estate in Bluemont, Virginia

Jessica Cobb (29 and an actuary) and Matthew Dowling’s (29 and a government contractor) wedding had a sweet mix of elegant, garden-style and fun accents tied together with a bright color scheme of teal, pink, coral, green and white. On their wedding day, Diamond Events made sure the accents all went together naturally. The outdoor ceremony at Whitehall Estate in Bluemont, Virginia, was lined with coral roses and blue thistles as each bridesmaid reached the head of the aisle in a blue, lace-detailed dress. Jessica’s made her entrance in an ivory lace mermaid-style Allure Bridal dress with off-the shoulder sleeves as guests watched from rows of white chairs. Once she and Matthew said “I do,” all were treated to lawn games and an indoor reception. Galleria Florist decorated each table with a romantic arrangement of cherry blossoms as a garland of white and coral roses draped over the newlywed’s chairs. Before dinner, Matthew and his mother got the party started in a way we didn't expect. Halfway through their mother-son dance, they switched from a Beatles song to Ray Parker Jr.’s "Ghostbusters," put on their sunglasses and brought everyone onto the floor. But the surprises didn't end there. During the reception, Jessica played a song on the violin for Matthew. How sweet! The band from their college fraternity parties, Snackbar Jones, took over the music from there and kept everyone dancing until they left in a glow-stick-accented exit that was beautifully captured by Lovesome Photography. For future newlyweds, Jessica suggests having help on the day-of. "If you don't have a wedding planner, at least get a day-of coordinator," Jessica says. "Stephanie from Diamond Events was invaluable in helping us."
