The Bride: Lauren Jacob, 32, Interior Decorator The Groom: Ross Levine, 32, Healthcare Technology Executive The Date: October 2, 2010 Lauren and Ross met through a historical preservation and social society in Washington, DC. They both served on the membership and social committees. A few weeks after their first meeting together, Ross asked Lauren to be his date for the City Tavern Club’s, Monte Carlo-themed, black tie fundraiser and that night, they both felt like they had found their perfect match.

Lauren designed a beautiful, lush textured bouquet of coral, papaya and pink tones. The bouquet included parrot tulips, garden roses, ranuculus and clusters of sweet peas finished with a ribbon.
Lauren and Ross used a bee and honeycomb theme throughout their wedding -- including in the cake design. The flavors included apricot, semi-sweet dark chocolate and peanut butter cup.
The couple found a room divider with a Chippendale style at a discount store, painted it and displayed 8x10” wedding pictures from each side of their family. It even included an engagement photo of Lauren and Ross.
Lauren and Ross wanted to keep the natural, casual feel of an outdoor wedding throughout the décor, so displayed the escort cards in boxwood.
The couple chose khaki linen table cloths and white napkins with a pink/coral border. They placed the menus in the napkin fold for a clean presentation.
The men (including both the bride and groom's fathers) wore navy blazers, white shirts and brown loafers from their own closets paired with coral flat-front pants. Ross also worked with Team One Newport to create custom sailing vests for his groomsmen as a thank-you for being part of the big weekend.
The centerpieces used a variety of aged-mossy garden stone containers filled with coral, papaya and pink tone wedding blossoms. We included garden roses, ranuculus, peonies, sweet peas, and parrot tulips.
Ross’ cousins, Ruby and Jade were the flower girls. They wore Us Angels dresses with silk flowers Lauren's mom turned into headbands. Lauren wore a beaded, lace sweetheart cut mermaid gown.
Lauren made grosgrain basketweave table toppers for the cocktail reception. She ordered coral, pink and navy ribbon in different widths to put them all together.
The couple had their sign in table set up with a “Winery Dog” book they purchased a winery/art gallery. They also included a picture of Ross’ family dog, Tucker, because he wasn’t able to fly out to California for the wedding.
